BOMBORAS BLONDE

Picture
Rather than paddle out to surf the Bomboras (big off-shore waves) along our awesome surfcoast we like to get wind-assisted and kitesurf them instead. All the carving action can leave us pretty thirsty but our Bomboras Blonde really delivers when it comes quenching that thirst.

Simplicity is the key to a great session beer and our Bomboras Blonde has a really simple recipe. We use a single hops variety which give a clean bitterness and just a hint of melon aroma and flavour which is balanced well with the malt aroma and flavour of the Gladfields English Ale malt.

POINT ADDIS PALE ALE

Picture
Away from the crowds, Point Addis is a super approachable break, but certainly not lacking in flavour or excitement - just like our American Pale Ale.

Inspired by a trip to the birthplace of surfing, Hawaii, and using an awesome combination of American and New Zealand hops, Point Addis is a clean, refreshing hop forward pale that will keep you coming back for more.

SOUTHSIDE SAISON

IMPOSSIBLE POINT ALE (IPA)

Picture
Southside is the point break to the South of the world famous Bells Beach.  It cranks during the winter but is mainly flat during summer - leaving plenty of time to enjoy this thirst quenching fruity Belgian Ale

Brewed with a mixture of Wheat and Barley malts to provide good balance to the fruity flavours from the Belgian yeast and the New Zealand Rakau hops, which also help to give a clean, crisp finish.

5.2% ABV / 26 IBU

We couldn't help taking a few liberties with the name Point Impossible (or better known as Possos).  Our IPA has a really full body but is silky smooth just like the long reef break at Possos.

Using Gladfield malt as the base and a good helping of Crystal malt to give body and sweetness to balance the bitterness, flavour and aroma from the copious quantities of Galaxy, Wakatu and Motueka hops.

6.2% ABV / 55 IBU

STEPS STOUT
You'll need some sustenance after a winter surf at this break and the long climb up the hundred or so steps to the top of the cliffs. Steps Stout won't disappoint, with plenty of body but a finish dry enough to quench your thirst.

Oats are used in this tasty stout to give a superbly smooth and silky mouthfeel. Rye Chocolate malt and two types of crystal malt gives awesome chocolate and coffee flavour. Although this beer is as inky black as the ocean on a moon-less night the dry finish makes it very drinkable indeed.

TEAHUPO'O TROPICAL GOSE
Salty, sour and as tropical as the awesome Polynesian break it's named after... what more could you want?

A salty edge from the sea-water collected by paddling out in my hand made kayak at my favourite kitesurfing spot, fruitiness from a ton of Mango and Passionfruit.
